Avv. Prof. EMANUELE Rimini
He was born in Milan in 1962.
He obtained his law degree at the University of Milan in 1995. He is Member of the Milan Bar Association since 1999 and since 2008, he is Member of Bar Association of Cassation Barristers.
Emanuele Rimini is a Full Professor of business law at the University of Milan where he is also President of the Coordination Committee of the postgraduate course in financial markets law.
Emanuele Rimini assists Italian and foreign clients in all areas of corporate law (mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organizations, including restructuring operations and demergers, commercial contracts, debt and equity financing, shareholder agreements and shareholder rights).
Emanuele Rimini also specializes in business and commercial law more generally, banking law, as well as crisis and insolvency law. In these areas, Emanuele Rimini has assisted clients in national and international arbitral proceedings, often being appointed as member of the arbitral panels.
He has also been appointed on several occasions as an independent expert, often as an expert witness in economic and financial transactions and proceedings pending in Italy and abroad.
- He also deals with family law, in its property and inheritance aspects, addressing issues of domestic and international law in these cases.
Over the years, Emanuele Rimini has gained significant experience in information and press law, with regard to strictly civil law aspects.
Emanuele Rimini is the author of articles, book chapters and monographs on topics relating to business law and arbitration.
He is currently
- Member of the editorial board of the journal Giurisprudenza arbitrale.
- Referee for Giurisprudenza commerciale.
- President of the Board of Arbitrators of Euronext Growth Milan S.p.A.
- President of the Board of Arbitrators of MTS S.p.A.
- Extraordinary Commissioner of the ITTIERRE Group, appointed by the Minister of Economic Development on 17 March 2016.
- Common representative of the shareholders of Banca Galileo S.p.A.
Furthermore, in the past it has been:
- Member of the editorial board of the law review “Giurisprudenza commerciale” of the law journal “Italian Intellectual Property”.
- Member of the Milan panel of the Banking and Financial Ombudsman (Arbitro Bancario Finanziario) (non-consumer disputes) until 2012.
- Member of the “Centro Studi sulla Giustizia” at the University of Milan. Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI).
- Extraordinary Commissioner of the Texfer Group by appointment of the Minister of Economic Development dated August 8, 2008, until 2022, when the procedure was concluded.
